Cambria Rainfall Accumulation Well Above Average

As of Wednesday, March 1, the County Department of Public Works had recorded very nearly 28 inches of rainfall since July 1 with its gauge at Main Street and Santa Rosa Creek Road.

     This six-month total is approximately 25 percent greater than the average annual rainfall in Cambria which, according to County records, is registered as 22 inches.  County recorded rainfall on top of Rocky Butte east of Cambria stands at 69 inches, nearly 75 percent above average.  The Naciemento Reservoir currently is at 88 percent capacity, while the Whale Rock Reservoir above Cayucos is at 92 percent capacity.
