Cambria Library Has Exciting Offerings in April

By TINA BAUGH

Join the Library staff and guest presenters for a month of interesting events from multi-day art and plant swaps to learning to crochet or finding out the benefits of mushrooms for your health.

Beginning on April 4 until the end of the month, come find fresh supplies for new and continuing art projects during the month-long Community Art Supply Swap.  Bring in any craft or art materials that need a new home and take something back.  All supplies must be in good condition.

On April 4 at 4 p.m., attend the Plant and Mushroom Health and Wellness Discussion with Mike Coulson.  This will be an informative talk on plant and mushroom health and wellness. Mike Coulson is the owner of Plantae & Fungi.  In this class, he will provide a general introduction to plants and mushrooms and the health benefits gained by consuming them in different ways.  A tasting will follow.  This class is for ages 18 and older, and registration is required.

On April 16, at 4 p.m., join the Beginning Crochet class. Crochet is a textile art created by looping rings of yarn together to create blankets, clothing, and accessories.  While the origin of crochet is complex, creating it does not have to be. Instructor Sydney will teach the basics so that anyone can feel confident crocheting. This class is for ages 13 and older, and registration is required.

Beginning on April 23 and continuing through April 27, join the fun with the All Day-Adopt-A-Plant event.  Choose from a variety of sprouts and water propagated plants to find one that is perfect for you.

On April 23 at 4 p.m., the Lego Club meets in the Friends of the Cambria Library bookstore for all enthusiastic Lego creators.

For the classes that require prior registration, please call Cambria Library at: 805-927-4336 to reserve a place.
