First Baptist Church Announces 2022 Teaching Plan

Senior Pastor Josh Lieurance of First Baptist Church (FBC) has laid out an ambitious plan for his Sunday messages for 2022.   For the next two Sundays, Pastor Josh will finish a three-week series on basic Christian practices, focusing on the three core relationships:  relationship with God; relationship with those in the community of faith; and relationship with the world.

In February Pastor Josh will launch a series to run for the rest of the year, except for special Sundays, that deeply explores the roots of the Christian faith in the first five books of the Old Testament, Genesis through Deuteronomy.  These books are collectively called the “Pentateuch” or the “five scrolls.”  In the Jewish faith these five books make up what is commonly called the Torah or “the Law.”

FBC understands that with the current surge in Covid-19 cases, attending church can be challenging.  While the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service continues to meet indoors with everyone masked as the County requires, FBC is taking additional steps to make collective worship accessible.  For those not comfortable inside (or who do not like to sing through a mask), the patio area is set up with chairs under canopies and has live audio and video feeds from the sanctuary, weather permitting.  FBC continues to stream weekly services on Facebook Live and on the main website.

Visitors are always welcome at FBC, which is located at the corner of Highway 1 and Ardath Drive.  For additional information please contact the church office or visit the main website at:
