Charlie Shoemake has announced that the West Coast’s premier jazz trombonist, Charlie Morillas, will perform in a return engagement on Sunday, March 23, at the Harmony Café at 5 p.m., and will be accompanied by bassist Dylan Johnson, drummer Darrell Voss, and of course series producers Charlie and Sandi Shoemake on vibes and vocals.
Morillas is a veteran of many of America’s greatest big bands and is currently one of the top Hollywood recording studio artists featured in the Star Trek, Toy Story, and Batman franchises among others. He has performed with numerous national and local productions of Broadway musicals, including The Lion King, 42nd Steet, The Producers, Peter Pan, Will Rogers Follies, Wicked, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
