It Is Viva Time and You Are Invited

By SUE ROBINSON

“Black-Tie Tie-Dye” is the exciting theme for this year’s Viva, the largest fundraiser hosted by the Cambria Rotary.  Guests can showcase their style, whether in classic black tie, a favorite Grateful Dead shirt, or a creative mix of both.  The sophisticated dinner is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the San Simeon Beach Bar and Grill.

The night kicks off with a champagne reception, followed by a delectable dinner featuring a choice of prime rib, grilled salmon, or eggplant parmesan.  Attendees can enjoy a mix of tunes from Jefferson Airplane to Strauss waltzes, providing the perfect backdrop for dancing.  The festivities also include a wine pull, a raffle, a grand raffle drawing, and the always lively and fun live auction.

The club’s service efforts are extensive, tackling essential projects like providing clean water in Africa; establishing schools in India, Uganda and Zambia; polio eradication; supporting local programs for food distribution; Honor Flights; scholarships for local high school graduates; and much more.

Tickets are $100 and are available now.  Snag one before they are gone through the club’s website at: cambriarotarygala.com.
