“It takes a village” rings true on Wednesday twice a month at Moonstone Cellars’ Open Mic Nights. Owners Todd and Kendra Clift support area nonprofits by passing a bucket for the group chosen quarterly (every three months). During a break in the instrumental, vocal and spoken entertainment, the featured non-profit shares a quick update of its mission and projects.
Greenspace – The Cambria Land Trust recently was the featured non-profit, which culminated with a big check! The whopping $1100 will support ongoing conservation projects focused on Land, Trees, Education and Advocacy. Greenspace members are grateful for this wonderful gift and opportunity to reach people who might not know about (or remember!) Greenspace’s conservation efforts around Cambria. The Moonstone Cellars’ friendly venue, lively music, and abundant goodwill resonate perfectly with what nature provides around us.
Thanks to each person who donated, and to Oz, Andy, and the Moonstone Cellars crew for spotlighting Greenspace. Special thanks to Todd and Kendra who support local nonprofits in this way.
If you have not visited Moonstone Cellars and tasted Todd’s stellar wines, or attended an Open Mic Night, check their event calendar and treat yourself to premium wine, a beautiful venue, live music, and good company, all right here in Cambria’s West Village. Just like a little forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), music can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall health and well-being.
May the forest (and the music) be with you!
