Join Greenspace for an inspired Speaker Series, titled The Work and Impact of the Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District on Sunday, March 22, at 4 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Cambria (786 Arlington). Drew Loganbill, Executive Director, and Brian Keeley, Conservation Steward and Ecologist, will speak about the work and impact of the local Resource Conservation District.
The Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District is one of 95 statewide districts and are at the center of locally led conservation efforts. They work to conserve soil and water, prevent and control soil erosion, manage watersheds, protect water quality, enhance wildlife habitat areas, land conservation and restoration, fuel reductions, forest stewardship, conservation education, and much more. Hear the firsthand insights from the experts themselves.
Drew is the Executive Director at the Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District. Prior to his work with Conservation District, he had worked for 14 years with the Natural Resource Conservation District in conservation planning and project implementation. He also served in the Peace Corps, working with villages on adopting Marine Protected Areas, water quality improvement projects and environmental education.
Brian is the Conservation Steward and Ecologist with the Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Conservation District and a Greenspace Board Member. He brings 40 years in ecology and conservation education, including 20-year studies with bats, shrimp aquaculture, native plant nursery management and is a restoration specialist.
This is a tremendous opportunity to learn about the local environment, local restoration efforts, and to learn about the important work of Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District.
