Greenspace Calls for Docents

BY KATHLEEN MCCOLLUM

Calling all potential for docents! Do you love history? Do you love horticulture? Are you interested in learning and sharing about the history of Cambria, and the importance of native plants?

Greenspace is looking for docents at the Creekside Reserve to provide tours of the historic Chinese Temple and the California Native Demonstration Garden.  Shifts would be one to two times per month. Training will be provided.  Greenspace would like to have the Chinese Temple open once per month and for special events that coordinate with The Cambria Historical Society.

Volunteer efforts in providing tours is a significant service to the community.  Creekside Reserve is special place of historical significance, and Greenspace wants to continue to encourage visitors to spend time in this beautiful reserve and downtown green space.

Help Greenspace to share the value and history of this place by becoming a docent.  If you are interested in contributing to this dedicated organization that protects and enhances its ecological systems, cultural resources, and forest habitats through land acquisition and management, public education, and advocacy, please send an email to: admin@greenspacecambria.org

Become a Greenspace volunteer docent and help us educate this community and those who visit experience the wonders of Cambria.
