Cambria Rotary’s Secret Santa project is a favorite of many of Rotary members. President Miguel Sandoval and his wife Judy pour their hearts and souls into this project every year. This year, Rotarians and community members helped create unforgettable memories for 51 children and their families this holiday season.
The children received wonderful Secret Santa gifts that brought joy and excitement to each child. In addition, the Rotary members were able to support the families with essential household items, including paper goods and laundry detergent, made possible by the San Simeon Chamber of Commerce along with secret donors and community members. Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church generously provided gift card donations to families. The project was blessed by a secret donor who provided Visa gift cards for 17 families.
A highlight of the day was Santa’s grand entrance on a fire truck, courtesy of Cal Fire, where he, along with our dedicated Rotary elves and family members, personally delivered the gifts to each family (using flashlights due to a power outage that evening!).
