May 15–May is Rotary’s Youth Services Month, and Cambria Rotary takes great pride in supporting the youth in our community. This month, the club sent seven students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, a dynamic three-day event where participants enhance their leadership abilities while enjoying themselves and forming connections.
In addition, two middle school girls were chosen to attend Tech Trek, a week-long camp aimed at making STEM fields appealing and accessible to young girls.
Rotary members also sponsored a one-day camp at Camp Ocean Pines for third graders at Cambria Grammar School. Rotary volunteers served pizza to students, their families, and school district staff during their annual Open House.
Rotary is excited to award $1,000 scholarships to 14 graduates of Coast Union High School, along with one graduate from Leffingwell. And several club members donated to a fund for the middle school graduation trip to Universal Studios. This showcases just a few of the initiatives Cambria Rotary supports throughout the year, made possible by the generous contributions from this community through various fundraising efforts.
