Callie is HART’s June Cat of the Month

By DAWN ELLNER

Callie is a stunning 12-year-old calico with a coat that looks like a living painting—bold orange and black patches that soften into a watercolor swirl down her tail.  One of her sweetest features is a little orange spot on her head that resembles a heart, a gentle reminder of the love she has to give.

Though she is a senior, Callie still has plenty of spirit and sparkle.  After spending most of her life outside, she is more than ready for the comforts of indoor life—soft beds, cozy laps, and gentle hands to pet her.  She is affectionate, curious, and happiest when she is close to someone who truly cares.  A home with a sunny window or catio would suit her perfectly, as she still enjoys basking in the sun and breathing in the fresh air.

Callie has always been an only cat and finds the company of other cats a bit overwhelming, so she is looking for a quiet home where she can be the one and only.  To help her find that special someone, HART has reduced her adoption fee to just $25 for the month of June.  Come meet Callie this month at HART at  2638 Main Street.  HART is open Tuesday through Saturday, 12 to 5 p.m.  For more about Callie, visit HART’s website: www.hartcambria.org/cat-of-the-month
