Please come to the Peace Parade on Friday, January 3, at 3 p.m. to participate in the parade by holding signs for peace. The Peace Group stands up for peace every Friday at the Peace Corner, at the corner of Main Street and Cambria Drive, to be a positive presence for peace. Peace is possible if everyone can come together to keep the dream and hope for peace alive.
Peace is possible means that achieving a state of harmony and absence of conflict between individuals, communities, or nations is not just a dream, but a realistic goal that can be attained through active efforts towards understanding, cooperation, and addressing root causes of conflict; essentially, it signifies that a peaceful world is achievable despite current challenges.
Attaining peace is not just a passive hope: It is not just about wishing for peace, but actively working towards it through diplomacy, education, and addressing inequalities. It requires focus on collective action: Achieving peace requires collaborative efforts from individuals, communities, and governments. Promoting peace recognizes the potential for change. Even in seemingly intractable conflicts, there is always room for positive change and the possibility of finding peaceful solutions.
