The Cambria Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring a new event to town this holiday season called Holidays in Cambria Village. This Holiday Extravaganza will be a fun holiday open house to encourage all to shop in Cambria’s downtown businesses while enjoying many special holiday festivities. The event will be held over two days, Friday December 6, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some of the festivities include a “notorious” live green goofy guest strolling through town, free hot dogs in front of the visitor center, holiday music, dance flash mobs, a new Gingerbread House Competition, and much more. The Historical Society will be holding the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on December 6, with new family-friendly fun, music, and free hot cocoa. Please submit Gingerbread House Competition applications soon. The Chamber has decided that it will permit a battery-operated light to be placed inside the houses for illumination. Applications are already coming in—join in the fun and create a special gingerbread house that cannot be beaten! In addition, the Chamber is offering events in January and February of the new year. The Annual Cambria Art & Wine Festival is planned for January 23 through 26. A new event has been added to the festival this year, a wine seminar to be held at Harmony Cellars with food by the Sea Chest Oyster Bar. The Chamber is planning a new Local Love Hospitality Event in February to show the community how much it is appreciated.
So many fun events are coming your way in the months ahead. The next Chamber Mixer is on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fireside Inn. Do not forget that these Chamber mixers are open to the public, so come and bring a friend.
