Leffingwell High School Held Graduation on May 9

May 15–The Leffingwell Class of 2025 received their diplomas in an outdoor ceremony at Leffingwell High School on Friday, May 9.  The ceremony began at 1 p.m. with graduating senior Jared Amezcua leading everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Students’ families and friends heard brief but moving remarks from Justin Gish; CUSD Principal Ed Arrigoni and District Superintendent Jill Southern also spoke.  Guidance Counselor Samantha Brossette was also in attendance to help facilitate the program and cheer on these students.   Justin Gish and math teacher Scott Love awarded the three graduating students their diplomas.

     Jay Burbank, American Legion Post 432 member, presented awards to Alma Garcia and Dottie Humphrey. Cindy Bitto, Scholarship Chair for Cambria Community Scholarship Foundation, presented Dottie Humphrey with a scholarship.  In addition to those already mentioned, all three students received awards from some of the following organizations: Cambria Lions Club; Odd Fellows; Rotary Club of Cambria; Safe Harbor Church; and the Unitarian Universalist Community of Cambria.  A short reception was held afterwards for students, their families, and friends.  The community wishes these three students abundant success in reaching their future goals.
