It already has been a busy February at First Baptist Church, but other weekly and monthly events for women are still to come this month (and the first week of March). On Fridays (February 21 and 28), FBC women continue their weekly event called, “Body & Soul.” They meet every Friday at 8:30 a.m. at FBC for a time of devotional encouragement, authenticity, exchanging recipes and ideas, and accountability to personal health goals.
On February 27 (the last Thursday of the month), FBC women gather for fellowship at, “Busy Bees Sewing,” as they cut, sew, sort, and package items for the new mothers and babies served by Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh. They meet from 9 a.m. to noon. Then on the first Monday of the month (next Monday, March 2), FBC women gather at Sandy’s Deli for, “Fill your Cup”, a time for coffee and sharing great conversation, and there is a gift card giveaway. All women in the community are welcome to any of these events.
FBC has several on-going small groups, including Tuesday mornings and evenings for women; Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons for men; and a Thursday afternoon mentoring group for high school girls. In addition, there is a mixed adult small group that meets every Sunday at 9 a.m., before the regular 10:30 a.m. service. This group recently started an in-depth study of the Book of Acts, which will continue until Labor Day.
For anyone interested in attending any of these events, or who would like more information, please contact the church office at: (805) 927-4789 or at: office@fbccambria.org. Visitors are welcome at FBC, located at the corner of Highway 1 and Ardath Drive. Refreshments are available at 10 a.m., before the 10:30 a.m. service. FBC continues to stream weekly services on YouTube and on the church website. For additional information, please visit the FBC website at: www.fbccambria.org.
