Annual Legacy Dinner at Camp Ocean Pines to be Held in Early December

Please join Camp Ocean Pines (COP) on Saturday, December 3, for the annualLegacy Dinner fundraiser.  The dinner and wines are a wonderful way to support life-changing programs for kids and families.  The Legacy Dinner celebrates the past, present, and future of Camp Ocean Pines.

This year the event will feature two special Legacy honorees:  Del Clegg and the Rotary Club of Cambria.  Del Clegg has been connected to COP for decades.  Driven by his deep faith and a commitment to kids’ development, Del helped transition the COP from a YMCA camp to an independent nonprofit organization.  His passionate leadership, vision for a better future for the Camp and investment of his own time, talents, and treasure have been instrumental in the Camp’s continuing impact on kids and families.

A look at the historical roster of Camp Ocean Pines’ board shows that easily half  of the members are Cambria Rotarians.  As individuals and as a group, the Rotary Club of Cambria is a leader in this community and has made a difference for so many people–and that includes Camp Ocean Pines.  Members have helped build decks and bathrooms, volunteered with youth, and financially supported the Camp’s projects and programs, to name just a few of the Rotarians’ efforts.      Camp Ocean Pines changes lives.  Since 1946, the camp has been the place for a kid’s first experience with tie-dye, a teen’s first time at the beach, and a family’s first song around a campfire.  Toast the magical impact of Camp Ocean Pines.  Help honor Del Clegg and the Rotary Club of Cambria at the 2023 Legacy Dinner.  Tickets and sponsorship information are available at: campoceanpines.org
