The Famous Jazz Artist Series presents one of America’s finest pianists, Terry Trotter, playing on the Kawai Grand piano at the Painted Sky recording studio (715 Main Street) on Sunday, October 2.

Trotter is a jazz pianist who has been writing (theme music for Everybody Loves Raymond), performing, and directing music for 50 years.  A true talent in every sense of the word, he has an incredible depth of knowledge about music and the artistic sensitivity and restraint to play only the notes that count.  Trotter has been the pianist for countless stars including Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Lena Horne, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, and Celine Dion.  He will be joined by the great bassist Luther Hughes, the Central Coast’s own top drummer Darrell Voss, and series producers Charlie and Sandi Shoemake on vibes and vocals.

A single, two-hour performance beginning at 5:00 p.m. is being offered at $25 per person. Wine and refreshments will be available for purchase.  Call (805-935-9007) or email ( to reserve a place.
