Cambria film lovers are invited to a special screening for the 25th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival that will take place in the Cambria Friends of the Library Room both on Tuesday, September 27, at 3:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 1, at 2:30 p.m.

With this screening, the Cambria Library will join over 400 venues worldwide to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world.  Ten finalists will have their work featured during the festival.  Each Festival attendee will vote for Best Film and Best Actor awards at each participating venue.  By virtue of their selection, each short film is automatically Oscar-qualified.

The Manhattan Short finalists hail from eight countries with films from Scotland, Chechia and Slovakia, Spain, Australia, Finland, and Lebanon, alongside two films each from France and the United States.  These ten finalists represent the best short films from among 868 submissions from 70 countries received for 2022, testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of short films worldwide.

The Manhattan Short Final Ten are: Don vs Lightning (Scotland), Love, Dad (Chechia and Slovakia), Save the Bees (United States), The Treatment (Spain), Freefall (France), Fetish (United States), Freedom Swimmer (Australia), The Blanket (Finland), Warsha (Lebanon), and The Big Green (France).  Synopses can be found at:
