The Cambria Community Healthcare District’s (CCHD) Healthcare Advocacy and Outreach Committee has prepared a four-page guide covering important community resources, including Emergency Services with information about adult protective services, mental health, domestic and sexual violence hotlines; Local Organizations, including Cambria Anonymous Neighbors, The Cambria Connection, Lions Club, Joslyn Adult Recreation Center, Rotary Club of Cambria, and Cambria Neighbors Club; and Food and Nutrition resources that include the Dining Room Lunch Program, home delivered meals, CalFresh, and the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The brochure also covers Transportation resources, including Senior Go, and Ride-On; Housing resources like Home Share SLO, utility assistance, and minor home repair for seniors. For Veterans Support, health resources include care management, in-home support, elder abuse prevention, Alzheimer’s Association-Central Coast, and medical equipment borrowing.
The brochure is currently available at the CCHD office (2511 Main Street) and at the Farmer’s Market held every Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Hall parking lot (1000 Main Street). For questions about the brochure or where to pick up a copy, call CCHD at 805-927-8304.
