The American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Reed family on Saturday, June 25, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. (or until the food runs out).  Dirk Reed, father of Elizabeth and Emily and husband of Mindy, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in May.

Homemade spaghetti served with salad and garlic bread will be offered for $15.00.  Desserts will be on offer, and meals are available either by drive through or dine in options.  The dinner will be held at American Legion Club 432 at the back of the Veterans’ Memorial Hall (1000 Main Street). All proceeds will benefit Dirk Reed and his family.

Mindy Reed has said, “We are unsure of many things, but we know we need to lean on family, friends, and our Cambria community during this scary time.  He has begun tests and chemotherapy, which are crazy expensive even with insurance.”      Other ways to help the Reed family are through a Go Fund Me account that has been set up for donations ( or an account that has been opened for the Reed family at Pacific Premier Bank (2255 Main Street).  A meal train is being arranged for the family by those who would like to either cook a dinner or order a dinner for the family from one of the restaurants in town.  Sign up for the meal train is:
