Culminating the Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive on Wednesday, November 17, Thanksgiving baskets were assembled in the Cambria Grammar School gymnasium and distributed to over two dozen Cambria families.

Danilda Reyes of LINK Family Resources said, “It was a great activity, thanks to the generosity of many people in the community who always show support for our families so that they receive necessary aid.”  Those supporting the event included the Salvation Army, Coast Unifield School District staff, the Promotores Collaborative of San Luis Obispo, the Unitarian Universalist Community of Cambria, the Cambria Community Council, and additional community members.

A variety of foods ranging from the traditional Thanksgiving fare of turkeys and pumpkin pies to a variety of canned goods, fresh produce, and sweets filled the baskets to overflowing.  Danilda expressed her gratitude, “…without your help and support this activity would be impossible.”
