The Rev. Mark Stetz has returned to active ministry as Pastor of Santa Rosa Parish after being on medical leave.  Besides presiding at the Respect Life Liturgy with the Rev. Dennis Gallo who served in his stead, Fr. Mark’s first activity was the annual  Blessing of Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day is October 4.

This year, parishioners brought an assortment of dogs, great and small, but no horses, snakes, goldfish, or tarantulas as in the past. Seen here with Fr. Mark are Janet and John Vanherweg. The blessing this year took place amongst the scarecrow display of Noah and the Ark animals created by local Tigg Morales.

The Santa Rosa Catholic Church, located at 1174 Main Street, is celebrating all masses indoors and asks anyone who is not fully vaccinated to wear a mask.  The Saturday Vigil Mass begins at 5:00 p.m.  Two masses are celebrated on Sunday, in English at 10:00 a.m. and in Spanish at 6:00 p.m.  More information can be found at the website:
